Living Well with a Disability Workshop
This free 8-week workshop for adults will be held at Horizons Independent Living Center, a fragrance-free, accessible, environmentally safe facility located at 8085 E. Non-Visual Desktop Access Screen Reader Software Instruction at NHILC
New Horizons Independent Living Center will be offering Non-Visual Desktop Access (NVDA) screen reader software instruction to people who are blind or have vision impairment. Providing feedback via synthetic speech and Braille, NVDA allows people to access and interact with the Windows operating system and many third party applications. Creative Crafters Group
New Horizons Independent Living Center has a new monthly support group for making arts and crafts projects. Creative Crafters group meets on the first Tuesday each month at 2:00 p.m. Each month will feature a project with materials and instructions. The next date is December 6th.
