Budget Open House

The Town of Prescott Valley is hosting a free Open House event on Tuesday, December 9, 2008 from 6:00p.m. to 8:00p.m. at the Civic Center, 7501 E Civic Circle in the first floor council chambers.
The open house is an opportunity for residents to learn more about existing programs and services and to hear about plans for future improvements from Town staff. Citizens will have the chance to ask questions regarding Town services and the budget process. This event also assists the Town Council and staff in setting goals and objectives for the new fiscal year.

A Christmas Potluck will be held at NHILC on Friday, December 19 from 12-3 p.m. Please call Deborah at 772-1266 and let her know what food you will be bringing.
Holiday Festival of Lights in Prescott Valley on Friday, December 5. See the Create a Tree displays and vote for your favorite! NHILC tree is made of recycled wheelchair parts.
The Last-Minute Non-Profit Stocking-Stuffer Bazaar will be held on Saturday, December 20 at the Prescott Activity Center, “the Old Armory,” 824 E. Gurley Street, Prescott from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Monthly Events
Low Vision Computer Class
Low Vision Computer Class is a 5-week class held each Wednesday from 1:00-2:00 p.m. at New Horizons ILC. Please register by calling Deborah at 772-1266. For this class, transportation is available for Prescott Valley residents - thanks to the Northern Arizona Vision and Hearing Loss Center.
The Last-Minute
Reminder: The Last-Minute Non-Profit Stocking-Stuffer Bazaar will be held on Saturday, December 20 at the Prescott Activity Center, “the Old Armory,” 824 E. Gurley Street, Prescott from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The Traumatic Brain Injury Group (B.I.G.)
The Brain Injury Group meets on the 4th Thursday each month from 2 to 3 p.m. Call Mary at 772-1266 for more information

Michael O’Brien, Disability Program Navigator, is at New Horizons ILC to provide services to individuals seeking employment. Please call Deborah at 772-1266 for dates.
Dave's Out to Lunch Bunch
Dave’s Out to Lunch Bunch meets on the 2nd Thursday each month at noon. The next lunch is at noon on Thursday, Dec. 11, 2008 at Pony Expresso on the corner of Robert and Florentine Roads in Prescott Valley. NHILC transportation is available to this event for a donation by calling 775-8870 in advance.
CFIDS
CFIDS (Chronic Fatigue Immune Dysfunction Syndrome) and Fibromyalgia Support Group meeting is on the 3rd Thursday each month at 2 p.m. at New Horizons ILC. Next meeting is Dec. 18.
Multiple Chemical Sensitivities
Multiple Chemical Sensitivities (MCS) Support Group meets on the 3rd Tuesday each month at 2 p.m. at New Horizons ILC. Next meeting is Dec. 16.
Haircuts
Haircuts Haircuts are offered on Tuesday, Dec. 16 from noon to 2 p.m. The cost is $10. Please call Deborah at 772-1266 for an appointment.
Computer Classes
Free Computer classes are held each Tuesday from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 in the Community Center. Classes are for all skill levels.
